Jenny. Erin.

For those of you who don't know, my sister and I are very different. Despite our differences, we still rock sisterhood as BFFs. I thought it would be fun to dedicate a blog post to her. She's gonna love it and I hope you do too.

It all started when we were very little. While I was drawing pictures like THIS...
...she was getting her papers back, graded like THIS:
When I was writing letters to the tooth fairy...
...she was writing letters to my mom
Yearbook pictures were another difference. Mom dressed me in large colonial doll clothes...
...while Jenny dressed herself every year (*note the faded slash curled jean years later):
While JENNY was getting in trouble for not wearing a coat...
...I was busy being a cat in EVERY single school play...maybe its the eyes?
My sister wins Emmy's for her films in Animation...
...I win a free fry at McDonald's for playing Monopoly:
Jenny has a wall in our house(some of her awards are even missing here!!) do I
We are so different in so many ways, but no one loves my sister like I do!!!

Fall is COMING!

Michigan and SALINE are the most beautiful places to be come Fall! I have been going out every week taking pictures of the trees starting to change! There are so many trees and farmlands where I live that you can't help but just go for drives ALL THE TIME! These are shots I took over the last week or so. These are pictures from my street I live on, my house, and the surrounding areas! More to come!

Saline Celtic Festival

I spent Saturday volunteering at the Celtic Festival in my hometown! Every summer we hold a celtic festival as part of a celebration with our "sister city" Brecon, Whales. Pretty awesome place to have a sister city, eh? We volunteered helping with the "Wee Folks" island. There were games, crafts, and contests for the kids to do and it was a lot of fun. Katherine was the chairperson for the Wee Folks and she did an amazing job! Here are some pics and a video of our Saturday adventure!
The kids got to decorate and paint their own shields and swords. The girls got to make flower crowns with ribbon (darling)
I filled a lot of water balloons for the Haggis Throw
(Real Haggis)

I loved watching the Irish dancing too but wasn't able to get a picture/video of that!

"Eat 'em up Tigers, eat 'em up!!!"

Elizabeth and I went to a Tigers baseball game and had AMAZING seats! 4th row! It was such a blast! We ate hot dogs, french fries, candy, beer.... just kidding about the beer. If I wanted a taste though I could've probably just licked my clothes, it spilled on me enough :). No, seriously, what a fun game! We won 6 to 0. The Tigers played the Diamond Backs and we kicked their butt. We were excited to go to the game that Verlander was pitching! He made baseball history this game with his strikeouts and it rocked! After the game we watched the fireworks they set off and they were better than most 4th of July shows I've seen! Comerica Park was SUCH a cool stadium and the whole place was really cool looking and the game was awesome!
Stadium entrance.
We were so close!

The hott guy on the left thought I was really funny and always laughed at me even BEFORE he got buzzed on all of his beer. Do you think he'd convert?

On Saturday a group of friends and I went to Amococo! It is an inflatable sculpture powered by ONLY air. It is a labyrinthine luminarium that originated in England and travels internationally. Luckily it came to Ann Arbor for a few days we HAD to go! It was amazing. It was so calm in there (hot, but calm). They played peaceful music and all the florescent colors made me feel like I was in a Disney movie! It was so much fun! It was pretty surreal in there! AMAZING.
The outside of Amococo!

After a 1.5 hour wait, we made it to the entrance!
We liked to sit on the dome walls and stare at each other.
Ceiling view!

If anyone ever gets an opportunity to see this, it is a MUST! :)
